Powering the Future: PSO Backs Robotics Education

May 27, 2026

The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics grant program is an initiative that supports pre-k through 12th-grade, allowing students to compete in local, regional, and international events. Grants awarded for 2026 range from $250 to $6,000, providing robotics teams much-needed funding to help cover the cost of things like materials, competition entry fees, and travel.

“At PSO, we’re proud to support programs that spark curiosity and build confidence in the next generation of problem-solvers,” said PSO President and COO Leigh Anne Strahler. “By investing in robotics education, we’re helping students across Oklahoma develop the skills, creativity and teamwork they’ll need to power the future.”
