PSO is committed to protecting the environment and conducting our operations in sustainable ways. PSO is involved in a number of environmental stewardship initiatives throughout the state.
PSO is proud to be one of the largest purchasers of wind power in Oklahoma. Today, Oklahoma wind power makes up approximately 20 percent (1,137 megawatts) of the energy PSO provides to our customers. Additionally, through PSO’s WindChoice program, residential and business customers may purchase 100% Oklahoma wind power for a portion or all of their monthly energy usage.
Our parent company American Electric Power is working hard to address environmental issues such as climate change and is taking steps to meet these challenges. The Corporate Sustainability Report describes AEP's economic, environmental and social policies and performance.
