SAVE WITH ELECTRIC VEHICLE RATE

Electric Vehicle Rate (RSPEV) rewards you year-round for using electricity wisely while charging your electric vehicle (EV). Customers can save year- round by charging their EV from 11pm - 6am at a much lower rate. For the months of June - October, when the demand for electric is higher, customers can also benefit by shifting load out of the peak window of 2pm - 7pm.

How the EV Rate Schedule Works:

  • Available for PSO residential customers with an AMI meter.
  • You’ll pay a special, lower rate for electricity used during Off-Peak hours (when demand for electricity declines).
  • A higher rate is applied to electricity used during On-Peak hours (when demand for electricity is greatest).
  • On-Peak hours occurs during June - October.
  • Off-Peak hours occurs during Nov - May.

** Seasonal On-Peak rates begin in June and Off-Peak rates begins in early November. (Customer’s June bill cycles may begin as early as May 1 and extend into early November depending on their meter read dates.)
