TULSA, Okla. (February 11, 2022) – Improvements to overhead transmission lines at 36th Street and Hudson Avenue, near Tulsa Public Schools’ Henry Zarrow International School, have been rescheduled to begin Monday, February 14.
The work will mean a traffic circle and one entrance to the school’s parking lot will be closed. Public Service Company of Oklahoma officials say they expect to have the work finished by the end of the week.
Parents are advised to plan for the possibilities of temporary congestion around the school.
A second three-day closure of the traffic circle is planned later this month to complete the work.
The closures are part of a project to rebuild a 138,000-volt transmission line, which will result in improved reliability – shorter and fewer outages – for customers.
