Blue Bell® Creameries Expansion Project Earns PSO Rebates
Blue Bell Creameries recently completed a facility expansion and modernization project at their Broken Arrow, OK manufacturing facility that reinforces its commitment to energy efficiency and long-term operational sustainability. As part of this effort, the company partnered with PSO to implement several high-efficiency upgrades—earning significant rebates through PSO’s Business Rebates Program.
The project featured several major upgrades, including high-efficiency HVAC improvements, building envelope improvements, high-speed industrial doors, Building Automation System (BAS) controls, LED lighting, and HVAC mini-split installations. Together, these energy-efficient measures improve temperature control, reduce energy loss, streamline operations, and lower ongoing maintenance needs all while keeping that same great taste Blue Bell is known for.
With these upgrades, Blue Bell now has the potential to save 275,994 kWh annually, representing a 68.84 kW reduction in demand. These energy savings support both operational cost reductions and environmental stewardship, strengthening the long-term sustainability of the facility.
Through its partnership with PSO, Blue Bell Creameries continues to demonstrate how commercial and industrial facilities can leverage PSO’s Business Rebates to modernize infrastructure, reduce energy consumption, and improve overall performance—all while supporting a more efficient future for Oklahoma businesses.
