The grant was announced at a morning event hosted by Atoka Public Schools.

Speaking on behalf of the AEP Foundation, PSO Vice President for External Affairs, Tiffini Jackson, said the grant is in line with the company’s longtime support for public education.

“This grant serves as a tangible example of how the public and private sectors are working together to provide a bright future for students and future generations through STEM education,” said Jackson.  “These partnerships provide long-term benefits for both students and the communities where they live.”

“Through STEM education, Atoka students will be better prepared to face real life problems with more creativity, critical thinking and effectiveness,” said Atoka Public Schools Superintendent, Jay McAdams.  “Where a student lives should not dictate their quality of education.  Using this newly created interactive learning environment, students can access innovative technologies such as Virtual Reality, providing enhanced STEM-related career options.”
