TULSA, Okla. (May 13, 2025) – Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO), an operating unit of American Electric Power (AEP), is putting more than $20,000 into the hands of Oklahoma teachers who lead robotics teams at schools and organizations in PSO service areas across the state.
The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics grants program is a nationwide initiative that supports pre-k through 12th-grade student education, allowing students to compete in local, regional, and international events. AEP funds FIRST grants on behalf of its operating companies, with grants awarded for 2025 ranging from $250 to $1,700.
"PSO recognizes the importance of robust STEM education in today's rapidly evolving career landscape," said PSO President Leigh Anne Strahler.
