PSO's Louie the Lightning Bug is Coming to a School Near You

With his bright yellow bulb aglow, PSO safety “spokesbug” Louie the Lightning Bug is winging his way to a school near you.  And he’s bringing his safety message with him.

Now, through early May, Louie is bringing his Lights on for Louie safety show to hundreds of elementary school students across southeastern and southwestern Oklahoma.

Louie will be accompanied on the tour by his friends from the National Theatre for Children (NTC), which has nearly 40 years of experience delivering award-winning education programs to students across the globe.

Lights on for Louie teaches children how to safely use electricity, as well as how to identify and avoid possible safety hazards.

“The content of this program is essential to safety education,” said Tiffini Jackson, PSO communications director.  “It’s important that students remember what they learn during the program because it has practical use in their everyday lives, and could actually save their life.”

More than two dozen Lights on for Louie presentations are on the schedule between now and May 3.  They will be held at the following times and locations:
